Tainted Grail: Song of a Dying World is a dark fantasy tabletop RPG set on a perilous Avalon, where players become the legendary Guardians of humanity after a cataclysm.

Setting and Story

The game is set in a melancholic, Arthurian-inspired universe where humanity fled the Continent due to a deadly plague called the Red Death and settled on Avalon. Avalon, however, is far from safe: survivors must contend with the Wyrdness, a primordial force that can manipulate matter and minds, and the Foredwellers, four-armed titans who are the island’s original inhabitants. A century ago, the Fall of Avalon devastated humanity, leaving descendants scattered and struggling to reclaim their former glory.

Players take on the roles of the Guardians of Avalon, individuals imbued with King Arthur’s power, tasked with defending humanity against the island’s dangers. The narrative emphasizes survival, moral choices, and the human journey, with characters following Ascension paths that allow them to embrace or reject their inner power
